It says it's compatible with Windows 7 so why does the installer say otherwise? That's why you see listed drivers only for Windows 10 bit. You cannot install Windows 7 bit in that motherboard. Windows support could not resolve this and eventually I had to reset Windows. Shortly after the reset Windows update began to fail again and now I'm back to program bugs. Window support cannot help again but this time even reset wont function and they claim this is a manufacturer's problem. So, my question is. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Paul.

Window support cannot help again but this time even reset wont function. Thank you for the link to the Nov 21 update. I have gone this route. The program goes all the way through the process including, downloading, updating and installing, then fails. Downloading Update assistant, downloading the media creation tool to download the updates and using it to create a bootable ISO on a flash drive all failed.

Now there is only live chat and I get the same sentence blocks in response to just about anything I type. So now I am no longer able to report error codes to support. This makes me think the problem is endemic, or the board is no longer supported.

Is it just Windows and Windows updates, or do you have the same problem installing any software? It really sounds to me like something is hosed with Windows, and if you can't do a repair install then I suspect you will end up having to bite the bullet and do a clean install.

Doing that on a new drive isn't a bad idea either. Good luck, I hope you find a solution. A long list of programs are updating and functioning correctly. Windows is the only program that is not. But bugs that I am increasingly experiencing MIDI port assignment, crackling during recording, sporadic severe latency problems may be unrelated to the Windows update problem.

I was only considering generic hardware incompatibility, but now I'm wondering if it could be faulty or misconfigured hardware. I always thought this was a Windows reporting error but Core Temp just confirmed the processor speed is while idling. I noticed the ring frequency was set to "auto" which produces MHz, but there doesn't seem to be any way to set it otherwise. I have no idea how this could be related to Windows Updates maybe this is a separate issue.
