Last edited: Jan 24, Video Editors, Word Processing, etc. If that's the case, then why run it? ThinPC could have been a lot of work for little reward.
W7 was a lot of work and gave very big rewards. Besides, not many use thinpc. Clanger said:. Spoiler: Image. Last edited: Jan 1, You will need to check for. Net and other dependances and whether your chosen software can be activated offline because i removed nealy all networking, If i am correct ThinPC could only run 4 applications at a time. Besides, if you build a thinpc from scratch then you need to know which packages you need to build the bloody thing.
Last edited: Jan 11, Like, you couldn't run true apps. Office was given as an example. As it's name suggests, it was meant to be just enough of an OS that you could hook up to the cloud and do your work remotely. Even if it could run major apps, the thought of an OS that was designed to hook up to the cloud and run and be run is just the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve with my NTLite'd version of Win7, where I have removed all the Remote stuff.
Not many had thinpc anyway, they had ultimate pro and home premium so it was better to shrink those and get better than thinpc like results without the limitations. Pointless using esoteric builds. Windows 10 is a complete fustercluck of epic proportions, even ltsb is stuffed with shite, packages. Great tutorial but I'am afraid I am missing something, I am lost on the 11th. Windows 7 edition comparison chart, does not include thin pc.
If my preset is used on Ultimate 32bit then i estimate it would be mb to 1gb smaller than 64bit, a fair bit smaller than thin 32bit.
I am still bruised over trying to get drivers and installers to run when "this does not support X os" etc. Then there is the licensing and activation issue. I prefer to use the Blydenstein method. Last edited: Feb 10, You missed the steps 4, 5 and 6, for the 11, i added info at the end of the post.
Run ntlite and load thin pc then open another ntlite and load home premium. You can compare both loaded images then. Thanks, worked with beta version. Last edited: Feb 11, You must log in or register to reply here.
